TRIBUTES have been paid to a young girl who collapsed and died in Barrhead on Saturday.
Tearful youngsters have expressed their shock after learning Demi Buchanan had passed away.
The 12-year-old is believed to have suffered an asthma attack.
Horrified pupils at St Luke’s and Barrhead High broke down on Monday morning when told the news by teachers.
And they have left touching tributes to their classmate in a special book at St Luke’s.
One said: “Make sure the angels take care of you.” Another said: “Although you are gone you will never be forgotten. You will always have a place in our hearts.”
Neighbours in the street where Demi lived with mum Michelle and stepdad Ross Montgomery were stunned by the news.
